The brightly coloured CAC t-shirts from the Climbers against Cancer stand out proudly in the mountains and are very popular in the climbing scene. Climbers against Cancer is a not-for-profit charity that raises awareness and funds for cancer research in the worldwide climbing community through the sales of their t-shirts and climbing apparel. John Ellison, an avid climber and founder of the organization, died of cancer in 2015. At the Climbing World Cup in Villars on July 2, 2022, a cheque for 25,000 pounds (approx. 30,000 Swiss francs) was presented to the Swiss Cancer Research Foundation on behalf of the Climbers against Cancer.
